Greece tourist information

Greece is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe. Sun, sand, sea, and rich culture of Elena annually attracts many visitors, from tourists to entertainment lovers from enthusiasts of art to intellectuals.

Tourist destinations in this country are very numerous. We mention only the most important. Thessaloniki is a city that offers tourists not noble temples, such as Athens, Olympia and Delphi, but is an interesting city, elegant and old but always young in style. It is the most modern city in Greece, and the second largest.

Meteora is an area very interesting and full of huge rocks. It is located in western Thessaly, near Kalampaka, and has stones that reach a height of 500 m. The landscape is amazingly beautyful. In these rocks were housed monks over time, and in time they rose cottages. In total 24 monasteries were built here some of them quite fantastic. Currently, the road to these monasteries has been simplified, back in the day there were not even stairs leading to them. Among the most impressive we include the Meteoron monastery, situated on a cliff that is  554 m tall, but also the Roussanou monastery "perched" on a huge rock
