France tourist information
Modern tourism began in France since the mid-eighteenth century, when British tourists were the first to have spent the winter on the Cote d'Azur, because the climate of their home was harsher. Later in the nineteenth century, tourism was only for the high society. Promenade des Anglais owes its name to the english people that made the city notorious.
